I first bought these strips because I found my nose and t-zone area were becoming a bit more oily during the warmer months. I found that my pores seemed large and my cleanser wasn’t helping as much as I needed it to.
Here’s a piece of advice… DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT… leave the strips on and go about your business without setting an alarm. I believe you’re only suppose to keep it on for 15 minutes and I had mine on for 30-40 minutes and OUCH!!!!!! it was literally a PAIN to remove. After trying it for a second time and following the directions, i found that it was A LOT less painful but still very effective in terms of removing built up dirt and blackheads.
Due to the pain factor of my first attempt and the fact that my nose generally doesn’t get that bad with dirt, I probably will not be incorporating the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Charcoal Strips into my daily/weekly skincare routine. I will however, keep them in my skincare bin to use as needed.
All in all it does exactly what it says it will, so if you have oily skin and blackheads, this is the perfect product to ensure that hard to clean area(your nose) gets a deep cleaning!
A good way to prevent it from hurting as much when you take the strip off if you’ve left it on too long is to dampen it with a wash cloth or something first before taking it off! I’ve been using Biore strips for years and have left it on too long more times than I can count lol. Making it damp always seemed to help!
That’s a great tip… I literally had tears in my eyes!!!
